We packed up a rented U-haul trailer and headed to Oxnard, California with my mom and siblings (19 of us total). Our rented beach house was just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach. It was about 65 degrees, so we froze just sitting by the ocean. The cold was not enough to keep Scot, Alex, and Sean from swimming in the waves. I stuck my toe in and was chilled the rest of the vacation.Haili spent all day Monday on the beach and insisted on applying her own sunscreen. She was fried!!! Emma enjoyed playing in the sand and jumping the waves as they came to the shore.Grandma Pam took all the kids to the beach early in the morning and came back with buckets of seashells and sand dollars. The kids had so much fun and my mom said it was like looking for gold.Six Flags was a lot of fun! Emma was tall enough to go on most of the rides. The X-2 is a crazy rollercoaster!!!
